Kristin’s love affair with words and language began in early childhood. By age 7 she was consuming critically acclaimed literature such as Alex Haley’s Roots and Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women, while crafting short stories and poems of her own. After seeing her first poem published at the age of 9, Kristin knew writing would become an integral part of her life.
By the time she entered Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, Kristin had caught the proverbial “news bug”. At that moment, she knew that journalism would serve as the root of her writing career. Thanks to an internship at the Baltimore Sun, for the first time she had become a published journalist with several featured articles under her belt.
After graduation, Kristin accepted a newsroom coordinator position with the historic Afro-American Newspapers, and later became managing editor of the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. publications. Her passion for journalism flourished as she wrote about everything from the tragic earthquake that ravaged Haiti in 2010 to vanguard gene editing technology combating health disparities in underserved communities. During this time she also began writing press releases and other media content for clients in the beauty and fashion industry.
As her writing matured, Kristin’s career branched into the corporate sector. She became a technical proposal writer with a focus on staffing, information technology, finance and pharmaceutical requests for proposals (RFPs). In less than a decade, Kristin’s proposals have generated over $1 billion in profit for her employers and clients. New business opportunities also sparked her artistic eye as she quickly learned to create stunning visuals and templates to accompany her business proposals.
Kristin welcomes new inquiries and looks forward to helping her clients accomplish all of their editorial needs. No project is too big or too small.
